Everything We Know About the Ram Revolution Concept EV

Ram is jumping on the EV pickup truck bandwagon and creating a Revolution with its new innovative truck. The Ram Revolution Concept EV is the concept version of what will eventually be heading to a Ram dealer near you, and it’s giving EV drivers a lot to get excited about.

A Fully-Electrified Ram Revolution

The Revolution Concept EV is set to take on the competition with two electric motors. One sits at the front axle, and the second sits on the rear axle, giving it an all-wheel drive system. This version of the Ram Revolution can use an 800-volt DC fast charging port to add up to 100 miles of range in as little as 10 minutes. It also features a rear-wheel steering system, with up to 15 degrees of movement to help make the large truck feel more maneuverable.

A Tech Filled Interior

This concept EV pulls out all the stops when it comes to technology. From capacitive controls that use touch and swiping technology right on the steering wheel to voice commands and remote controls, the innovation is unbelievable. There is even a system that uses biometric
recognition to recognize drivers before they even get in the truck and makes sure all their favorite settings are in place.

An augmented reality head-up display sits in the windshield, providing the driver with important information about their surroundings, and there are a total of 28 inches of touchscreen in the center stack displaying everything from the infotainment system to navigation directions and more. The lower touchscreen comes right out of the dashboard, so passengers in the back seat can get a closer look.

A Customizable Cabin

The Revolution’s cabin is longer than the gas-powered Ram 1500 and features a unique rail attachment system that sits on the floor. This makes the cabin more configurable and also acts as a place to tie down loose cargo to keep it from sliding around. The seats are ultra lightweight and will fold completely flat when extra space is needed. A third-row jump seat can be added if extra seating is needed. It mounts to the mid-gate and attaches right to the bed.

Innovative Exterior Features

The innovation doesn’t stop inside the Ram Revolution Concept EV. This truck takes the RamBox Cargo Management system to a new level with two tiers to increase storage space in the bed and adding partitions to make it easier than ever to organize and secure cargo. A powered 50/50 split tailgate sits at the end of the bed with Rams multifunction design that includes a power extender. Just inside the tailgate, bed extender doors flip up to stop cargo from slipping out when the bed extenders are in use.

What’s Next With the Ram Revolution

While there is a Ram 1500 EV heading to a Ram dealer near you, the Ram Revolution Concept EV showcases the future of Ram and what they are working towards. The Ram 1500 EV that ultimately ends up on dealership lots will be a little different, but it will still be impressive.
