Audi – A Functioning Fully-Autonomous Vehicle That Excites

Audi has made no secrets about the fact they have been testing every level of autonomous driving possible. The self-driving the new Audi Aicon which is a fully-autonomous sports car has been introduced. It offers us a 2+2 look that has no steering wheel and pedals. This makes this a car that, if it makes its way to the market, one that offers you the drive you want. It will also have the features you’ll love. It will even the EV powertrain that will make it one of the most efficient and effective models to date.

As its currently configured, the Audi Aicon is a model that is expected to reach between 435 and 497 miles. This can go on a single full charge. It is built as a model that appears to be somewhat the same as the Audi R8. This impressive robot taxi model is one that has the sports car look. It has the style you’ll find on the road to admire and be amazed by. This impressive vehicle pulls out all the stops. As a concept, it brings you the comfort, quality, and sophistication you would expect.

What You Can See Now in the Audi

The new Audi Aicon concept model came to the Frankfurt Motor Show to impress the world. It certainly accomplished that goal. This car features doors that open in an opposing fashion to offer a cavernous look inside that isn’t interrupted by the inclusion of a B-pillar at all. There is an openness of the cabin because there aren’t any pedals or a steering wheel to take up some of the space and require the area to be set up for a human driver to handle the controls while out on the road.
The seats can all swivel up to 15 degrees to make it easier to enter and exit the vehicle. It also makes this cabin one that’s a bit of a social cabin for you to have an interaction. There are four electric motors to drive this car. There is one at each wheel, producing a total of 349 horsepower and 406 lb.-ft. of torque. This offers you the benefit of the Quattro AWD system that we’ve come to love. The drive and comfort of this car could bring in the future of mobility if and when this type of Level 5 autonomy is approved.
Audi is creating what’s called an AI Zone to make it possible for the Aicon to drive itself to a battery charging station. Using the high-voltage 800-volt system the battery can be charged to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes to allow the car to charge up and be ready to head back on the road. Right now, this concept is the closest we have to one that has the range we want for the drive in an EV and its fully-autonomous, which makes it a car we want to see on the road soon.
