Ken Block’s Top 5 Stunt Videos

Before the smell of burning rubber can subside from the last Ken Block stunt video, we’ve got to share some of the top racing events of his video series.

Ken Block might be gone from this world, certainly much too soon, but his Gymkhana videos remain with us as a testament to the man.  These videos prove what a gifted man with some incredible drive can do when paired with the right Hoonigan machine.  Ken was certainly a special driver, but he was also a father, husband, and friend to many.  With that in mind, here are five of his top stunt videos to give you a better idea of what this incredible man could do.

Nothing wrong with starting at the beginning

The very first Gymkhana video set the bar and made it nearly impossible for Ken to disappoint any audience.  This video was a practice that was filmed and published in 2008 to get things off the ground for the amazing decade-plus series of videos and events we got to see after this amazing run.

During this incredible video, you can see the speed, aggression, and mostly the execution of the amazing stunts and driving that makes it so wonderful to see.  This is the video that got things started and showed us what made Ken the special driver that he became.  The car used in this first video is a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, which was already one of the top rally cars in the world.  When this car met Ken Block, it was only a matter of time before some of the most amazing stunt videos would become part of the fun.

Ken takes Gymkhana to an abandoned area of New York

Many cities have some areas that are dilapidated and run down.  Strangely, we don’t often think of Buffalo, New York, as having such an area, but it is a large city in western New York where Gymkhana Nine was filmed to show what fun a driver and his drift can have in a world that’s been long forgotten by the people living in the area.  The video was published in 2016, and it was the ninth in the series of amazing Ken Block videos.

Because this area of Buffalo is abandoned and run down, the Hoonigan team could set up stunts using a train station and various factories, which became the perfect backdrop for the fun and active driving that would become the video.  Some of these stunts are so incredible that you wonder if Ken or his car took a swim because of how close he gets to going over the edge of a wall next to the lake.  Get ready for some driving fun when you tune in and see this incredible Ken Block stunt video.

Travis Pastrana joins Ken for some fun in Gymkhana 2020

The eleventh video in the Gymkhana series features two amazing extreme sports enthusiasts that are both crazy to be driving the way they do.  This video also has a third star, one of the most amazing Subaru STI models ever created.  Subaru created this car specifically for the video, and it comes with an amazing 862 horsepower engine that makes other cars seem tame in comparison.

The high-speed chases and fun take us to Annapolis, Maryland, for some incredible fun near the harbor area.  Both drivers get close to or go over walls, jump cars over incredible waterways, and show how much driving fun can be had.  This is the Ken Block stunt video where he passes the torch to Travis to become the caretaker of the Gymkhana video franchise.  If you want to be entertained by a pair of extreme experts and see one of the most powerful rally cars ever made, this is the video you’ll want to see.

Ken got wild in Los Angeles for Gymkhana Seven

The seventh entry in the Gymkhana series is where we first get to see the Hoonicorn, which is a Mustang gone crazy because the Hoonigan team got hold of it.  This car can only be called Mustang-based because it’s been transformed into a high-powered drift machine that’s capable of amazing driving fun.  This fun is shown off on the streets of Los Angeles, where Ken finds another amazing urban playground for some fun and stunts.

Los Angeles is a sprawling city with several great areas where you can drive and have some fun through some of the abandoned areas.  It’s pretty easy to understand why Ken Block wanted to film this stunt video in this amazing place.  You’ll see some scenes that are famous from movies, including Grease and Terminator 2, along with some humor that many will understand.  This is a video where Ken shows off more of his personality through his driving than some of the others in the Gymkhana series.

Ken takes things international for Gymkhana 3

What happens when one of the top drift car racers and extreme sports stuntmen meets up with a track built in 1924? That’s what we find out in Gymkhana 3.  This track has some incredibly steep banks that come in at 51 degrees, which is more than twice the baking of most NASCAR tracks.  Toss in the fact that we’ve got the top drift racer in the world taking on this track, and the possibilities are endless, giving us an amazing video that we can all watch and admire.

In addition to some spins that would make an ice dancer dizzy, this track presents some tight turns and cool features that get set up for the stunts and fun that are part of the charm of our amazing star. The car chosen for the Gymkhana 3 fun is a Ford Fiesta which executes stunt after stunt perfectly with Ken behind the wheel.  This was one of the early Ken Block stunt videos, which brings a raw and natural feeling to it, which should make it one of the most fun for you to watch and admire.

Which one of these Ken Block stunt videos is your favorite?  There are several others to choose from as well; maybe one of those is your favorite.
