Tesla Model 3 Arrives and Many are Still Waiting For Theirs
The first Tesla Model 3 to be offered on the market was the Long Range version that offers us a Dual Motor to give us a range that’s easy to admire. Even though most of the customers who chose to put $1,000 down to have the Model 3 at the lowest price, the next version of this car has finally arrived. This new version is the Mid-Range Tesla Model 3 that will give us 260 miles of range on a single charge. This arrival brings us one step closer to having the base version of the Model 3 that we’ve been waiting for.
A Strange Change in Prices
Whether it’s simply a move to pacify the accounting department at Tesla, or the brand just wanted to figure out the right price to charge for the mid-range model that’s now offered, there have been some changes already made to the pricing structure of the Model 3. The Long Range version has been reduced in price by $1,000 to cost a customer $53,000 to drive while the newly released Mid-Range version of the car has increased in price by the same amount to reach a price of $46,000.
And We’re Still Waiting
The promise of an affordable electric vehicle that would reach a price of less than $35,000 when the vehicle arrives on the market, is nothing more than a pipe dream from Tesla at this point. Even though there aren’t any more Federal Tax Credits left for Tesla models, the new entry-level model is expected to finally make its arrival on the market in the next 4-6 months. This new version will only be two years late to the market and significantly behind Chevrolet and Nissan when it comes to the affordable EV market.
Another Change to the Tesla Model 3
Tesla has become known as a brand that offers a variety of features at first, only to need to take a step back on a regular basis. While you might admire the moxie of Elon Musk to be aggressive when it comes to the vehicles offered, it could be a bit frustrating to know that Tesla has removed features you might want. The Full Self Driving option isn’t offered for the Tesla Model 3 any longer because it was causing too much confusion. This feature is expected to be added back to the menu at a later date.
A Few More Steps Forward
Now that they are making strides forward with the Tesla Model 3, it’s good to see that the brand is on track to build more of the vehicles that we want. Once the entry-level model arrives on the market and finally completes the offerings of this new model, the Tesla team can move forward and work on the next vehicle they plan to offer. Hopefully, they will learn to produce the numbers they need to in order to finally meet the demand of all the customers that placed an order nearly three years ago.
