Is there any threat to Earth?

Whether there are little green aliens on 31/ATLAS because it is an alien spaceship, or the NASA response is correct, it is not expected to come near Earth. The current trajectory has the closest approach to our planet as 1.8 AU, which is 170 million miles away. That is four times the distance between Earth and the Moon. This is a safe distance and too remote to influence our planet, given it stays on its current path and doesn’t make a turn towards Earth.

This object is set for a close pass with Mars near the end of October, and that could tell us a lot more, such as whether or not it’s artificially made or a natural object, such as a comet that has been flying around in space for eons.

Is the government covering something up?

Anytime something strange and interesting appears, conspiracy theories go flying about. Hearing about the possibility of an alien spacecraft has certainly brought about conversations about Roswell, NM, and Area 51, which has been depicted in many movies as home to some captured aliens from decades ago.
