On the West Coast, the South Coast Plaza Mall in Costa Mesa, California, stands out with its 30 restaurants and 280 boutique shops. Some of the big-name stores here include Balenciaga, Barneys New York, and three levels of Macy’s Home Furniture. South Coast Plaza boasts over $1.5 billion in sales every year, which makes it the top-grossing mall in America, with $800 in sales per square foot.
