911 Carrera T – Sportier Than the Sports Cars We Love

Even though Porsche has quickly become a brand that brings us a pair of the most incredible SUV models for the drive, this brand continues to strive to remind us that sports cars actually matter. This was the message that Porsche 911 Carrera T brought to the Los Angeles Auto Show to let us continue to be amazed by the fact that this is the brand that brings us the sport and fun we want.

How did the Porsche brand bring this completely unnecessary but certainly admirable reminder? They did this by showing up in Los Angeles with the Porsche 911 Carrera T, 718 GTS Boxster, and 718 GTS Cayman models that make their debut at this show to let us see the sportier versions of these sports cars. These cars are easily some of the most impressive models that can be right for the ride you’re looking for when you want to get out on the tracks in your area to enjoy the drive and experience the fun.

911 Carrera Specific Changes for the Drive

The new 911 Carrera T shows up on the scales at 3,142 pounds which makes it the lightest Carrera in the lineup. This is a purist model that brings you a manual transmission for the drive, improved aerodynamics, a standard mechanical locking rear differential, and several other features that you won’t find in the regular Carrera. In order to accomplish these weight savings, this car has fabric loops instead of door handles, the windows use lighter glass, the sound insulation has been reduced, and the rear seats can be deleted to save even more weight.

10 for the drive. Pair the weight savings with the power and you can reach sixty mph in only 4.3 seconds with is faster than the regular Carrera while offering you a top speed of 182 mph. This is a seriously quick car that can make the drive what you want when you head out to the track, where this car is certainly at home and extremely comfortable.

The 718 GTS models you’re going to have the boost you want from a 2.5-liter flat four-cylinder engine that pumps out 365 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. These two cars also offer you additional feature that gives you improved performance with a mechanical rear differential, torque vectoring, and lower ride height. It shouldn’t come as any surprise or confusion when you see these three cars that Porsche continues to be a brand that offers us the sports cars we want for the exciting drive that can be experienced on the roads and tracks that are meant for fun and active driving dynamics that are included in every Porsche model.
