Staples has launched a crowdfunding-powered design contest
The world’s largest business crowdfunding platform, Fundable, has teamed up with Staples to launch the first ever Crowd2Shelf Contest. The contest, which was created by Fundable and is sponsored by Staples, invites entrepreneurs and small business to utilize the power of crowdfunding to launch their product into Staples stores.
“We’re thrilled to work with Staples to help small businesses tap into the power of crowdfunding as well as Staples’ world-class retail capabilities. Staples shares Fundable’s mission of empowering entrepreneurs to do great things, and we’re looking forward to helping great businesses launch through the Crowd2Shelf Contest,” said Wil Schroter, the CEO of Fundable.
The winner(s) of the contest will be rewarded with the opportunity to present their product to the store merchandising teams at Staples for the chance to sell their product in Staples stores as well as on the Staples website.

Entrants to the contest will have to create a crowdfunding campaign page and are encouraged to share their profile through social channels, asking the public help support them with votes. Submissions will be accepted during the entire month of August, with the 25 best submission being announced on October 5th. The finalists will be announced on December 10th.
