Ben Affleck is Too Good at Blackjack for Hard Rock Casino
Actor. Political activist. Academy Award winning director and writer. Now, Ben Affleck can add outrageously good black jack player to his resume after being reportedly banned from playing the game at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The next Batman has been known as a strong poker player and has had some winning streaks in blackjack as well, but this is the first time he has been told that he was too good to be allowed to play at a casino.
Hotel security said that he was winning too much because he was likely memorizing cards, a technique that is difficult and can result in making better plays on hands but is not illegal or against the rules. However, casinos are allowed to stop people from playing for whatever reason they choose. In this case, it was because Affleck was eating their lunch.
He was on vacation with his wife, actress Jennifer Garner.
According to CNN:
Affleck was “not booted” from the casino as other reports have indicated, the source said. Rather, the source says, he was asked to leave after casino security told him: “You are too good at the game.”
